It's the last day before our big Spectrum Moms' weekend at WDW and I'm gradually whittling my "To Do" list down to size. Go to work (1/2 day)... check. Print boarding pass online... check. Mani/Pedi... check. Organize all trip info... check.
Things still on the list: re-pack suitcase (that maddeningly changeable Florida weather forecast), purchase Visa check card (I hate carrying cash), and yes, she says, grinning sheepishly. For Heaven's sake! Pack up the rest of those Christmas ornaments before they meet with an unfortunate accident!
(I can hear it now... a giant CRASH, followed by the sound of running feet and an, "I'm sorry!" tossed over the shoulder of my special boy.)
Tomorrow I'll be heading out for a weekend of fun and comraderie with my fellow Specrum Moms. I'm still shaking my head over it. Me... the woman who, but for a couple of professional conferences and a smattering of overnights to care for sick relatives, has not travelled solo since the years BC... going away for a weekend with friends. It's truly difficult to believe. Funny how one's lifestyle can change so much in fifteen years...
But, that's the one thing about Life: whether you want it to or not, it keeps changing. Changes are inevitable; changes are good. I'm standing on the brink of a big one... this is the year of The Book. I'm glad I'll have some fantastic friends to share it with!
